When Zach was about Cams age we used to take him up to Brighton with us every now and then, just to hang out, play in the snow and be a part of the lifestyle that we love so much. You know, breaking him early, or at least hoping to! As far as I can remember he always seemed to enjoy it.

So this last Sunday we tried to do the same thing with Cam. Well, Cam had a hard time grasping the concept that he can't just "go snowboarding." He was very mad that we wouldn't let him get on the lift and go. It just didn't make any sense to him which quickly turned into a temper tantrum! So he and I ended up sitting in the car watching most of Zach's lesson from the parking lot while snacking on crackers, cookies and pringles (thanks Chris.)
At break time we went to visit Zach at the lodge and Cam realized there were puddles! This is like heaven to Cam. It was one of those torn parenting moments. He's happy... but he's now wet.... what to do, what to do? Luckily it wasn't terribly cold and they have hot cocoa. So with a little bit of cocoa bribery we were able to make it inside the lodge and past this little dilema.

Here is Take One of Zach's snowboarding video, we plan to add to it as we go along...

I love the video. So fun to see him actually snow boarding.
Oh my gosh. He's growing up way too fast. Zach, you will be shredding the slopes in no time. I'm so proud of you. Acacia is sooo cute, I haven't seen in a couple of years. How fun that they can be in class together.
Cam, I think you should come see Grandma when Zach goes snowboarding.
Zach...you are awesome! You do just what your instructor (as you call him) tells you to do! You are such a good direction follower. No wonder your preschool teacher loves you so much. You are a brave boy! Cam..
you are a good puddle stomper. Now if some of your brothers good-direction-following skills would rub off, your moms life would be easier! love you both, Wawa
