I was planning on waiting to post this video until we had the finished product, but I can't, I love it too much. I have watched this nearly a hundred times and it never stops making me smile! I am so proud of this kid. He really, really loves snowboarding! When he finished his lesson last Sunday Greg and I asked if he wanted to take a run with us. He was happy to. After that run the lifts had closed so we asked if he wanted to hike back up the hill and do it again. "Sure" he said. So we did. His last run blew me away. With no one else on the hill he made it most of the way down without falling. He is totally in control, and unafraid. I had no idea he would pick it up this fast.
Sweet Child O' Mine- Take Two:
Cam has also accomplished a very important milestone this week. He is a proud wearer of "big boy pants" That's right, he's potty trained! He spent Friday and Saturday with his "Wawa" and by Saturday evening he was a graduate of Wawa's Potty Training Acadamy! He has had no accidents since and has even made it through the night most of the time. I told her she ought to write a book. I don't know how she pulled it off with his stubborn attitude! But it feels great to know that we are officially DONE buying diapers. It's kind of like getting a pay raise! I'm so proud of my boys!!!

Wow what a natural snowborder. I especially like his sliding stops. When I started sking some years ago, that is how I stopped too. Zack: The sliding stop works especially well if you do it into a snow bank!

Zach....Papa and I have watched this a million times since your mom sent it Sunday night! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see you do this in person on Sunday. You are awesome...and parents are pretty good photographers, too. And Cam, you are such a big boy! I am so proud that you have kept the big boy pants dry. What a smartie! Love you both, Wawa
WHOA NELLY!!! That kid is better than me! I am sooooo impressed. Obviously the boy has some natural talent. I can only imagine how proud you are. This is something you can share with him your whole life!
And congrats to Cam! But what you meant to say was that you are done buying diapers UNTIL you have another baby.... :)
I can't get enough of this post. It's so cool! The music on Zach's video is perfect. He is a "sweet child" with the "bluest eyes." I've watched it over and over and over. And I just want to snuggle in that bed with Cam, it's the best way to take a nap.
