This is fun, Pass it on.

I have seen this on a few other blogs and I have enjoyed thinking back through my experiences with my friends and coming up with a favorite memory. Plus, I just wanted a reason to post this picture of me with my brothers :)
Anyways, here's what you need to do...

1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew/know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

... oh, and remember, my Mother reads this blog so try not to embarrass me ;)

Hey Susan, without a doubt it was driving to the top of Farmington Peak (I think that's the name of it- the one with the tower on top)with you and Leslie in your white Toyota truck. It was lightening all around us and we watched a sheet of rain come off the lake and make it's way up the canyon to us. Such an amazing afternoon, good conversation, cool girls...can't remember the specifics but will never forget looking down out of the passenger window seeing the drop off and then looking up to the most vertical gray wall of rain just yards away. It was probably one of the first times I ever got to hang out with you, like really hang out- ya know.

Oooh, good one, Kristen! That lightning storm scared the bejeezers out of me. It was hitting the ground all around us! Yikes!

And for me...where do I start? I have the special blessing of having sweet memories with you since the day I was born (don't be jealous, everyone!). One of my strongest early memories of you is when we were small, living in Hibbard of course. You and Jake had come to stay and you got to go to school with us. I remember riding the bus and everyone was in awe of you, you were hardcore, from the big city. You wore two totally different big dangly earrings in each ear. I know one was a lightning bolt, don't remember the other one for sure. But you were so far out of everyone's league. You were so PUNK!

I am sitting here with the biggest grin right now, trying to pick through the arsenal of killer memories I have made with you. They are all too good...I think of all the good times we had, my very favorite time spent with you was the week we went to the Sierra Nevadas and Tahoe. It was epic. You, Jake and Greg, my three best buddies. And of course Beth and Von. There was such a special vibe that week that accompanied us in those rugged, lonesome mountains. You know what I am talking about. And the sight of our caravan was CLASSIC! Von's big Black truck pulling a trailer with his and Thayne's Jeeps, then Thayne's big black truck pulling Jake's Jeep, and then my black Passat full of hooligans in the rear. Everyone was checking us out...wishing they got the invite!

Oh man, that lightning storm was SO SCARY! Every time I've gone up Farmington Canyon since I think of it. In fact I think every time we go up there I start to tell Greg the story and he's like "I know, you tell me this story every time we come up here" But WOW, that was an experience I will never forget! Thanks for the reminder!

Ewwww Sierra Treck... that was such a fun trip!!! Oh I know what that "special vibe" accompanying us was... from that trip on I knew who I was going to spend the rest of my life with ;) I think about that week all the time. So many classic moments came out of that... I'm sitting here with a huge grin now too, thanks!

My life has been full of amazing memories with You. You won't remember this one but it's the one that makes all the others possible for me. The day you were born was the beginning of a new world for me. (In those days we waited for babies to be born to know what they were.) When they said "It's a girl" the tears of joy just started to flow. I was soooo happy to have my baby girl. It was the most amazing experience and continues to be as our lives move forward. I love you... hugs & kisses

This is a cute idea! My favorite and strongest memory of you goes back to the 7th grade. I had a slumber birthday party that year with a bunch of girls, including you of course. I remember we got a phone call from Jeff & John Peterson who were having a party and wanted a bunch of the girls to go. My parents didn't believe in 12 yr old girls hanging out with boys. Everyone wanted to go and so they snuck out of my house and left with the exception of You. You stayed with me to "cover" for them...although they did get caught and we ended up having to take everyone home in the middle of the night.
I will always love you for staying with me that night, it meant and means so much to me. Thank you!

Mom, that was so sweet, made me cry :)

Mel, I had completely forgotten about that. But now I totally remember it, how fun to bring an old memory back. I was way to shy back then to want to go and hang out with boys, that would have been no fun at all. We were great friends in those days and it is so fun to have you back in my life- cyber style haha!

that is a cute memory mel!

um, i remember trying to get up a really steep rock at moab with you one night. um, it was really hard... :/

i also love the memory of driving home from the pie in my dad's jeep with john ashworth. someone in the car next to us pointed a water gun at him and he thought it was real and dove over us freaking out. hilarious.

walking around your n'hood in san diego, you showing me where your boyfriends lived, also i remember that same trip, we were riding in the back of the bronco and you were so excited to get stuck in a traffic jam. you've always been a little quirky!

screaming your guts out over spiders and earthquakes.

and don't forget watchers in the weeds. or the witches that lived in your basement.

stealing change from mike's coffee can. VEIWMONT!! oh man that was some good times!

sleepovers at grandmas. ahahaha! remember when we wrote "$h(*" on bryan's forehead when he was asleep? we woke him up and said "bry you have ---- all over your forehead" remember how mad he got at us?

sally...

what were the names of teenagers that lived across the street that we would pretend we were?

last one. one of my earliest memories is arriving at the pink house really late at night and having our parents introduce us. it seems like there was a parakeet on a perch in the hallway???

I love the pic of you and your brother's. I can't believe that's Brian, the last time I saw him he was twelve- where has the time gone.

I have a lot of early memories. I remember when I found out you were moving to California and we cried our eyes out and I gave you a circle of rocks in sand (ohh Debbie Gibson).

Then, one of my favorite trips as a kid was when I came to stay with you in Carlsbad. We were in that modeling class, I still have the cheesy pics.

I loved hanging out at your grandma's with Rachel, we would walk across to Viewmont.

Lastly, I think I remember Mel's party but I don't remember going to John and Jeff's so I must have gone home early (my mom didn't believe in sleepovers in those days).

Ray- you remember being introduced to us? That might have been a dream, the parakeete makes no sense at all... I was dying at all your mems... I think Bryan is still mad at me for writing on his face. We used permanent marker, that was pretty lame, but we got a good laugh until he woke up. And, it was Jenny and Bruce... Watchers in the weeds, that is a GOOD one, I still think I see flashes out my window sometimes and it makes me think of that! hahaha. The water gun... OMG HAHAHA

Holly- I am so sad that I don't still have that circle in the sand, If I remember correctly it was in a little toilet planter??? I think I remember you saying "I'm sorry it's in a toilet, but thats the only thing I could find" Oh that is too funny! I still have pictures from that modeling thing too. They are so funny to look at now, but we thought we were so dang cool then. I remember a lot of fun stuff from when you came to visit me! We were BFF's for sure!

Thanks so much, this has been a lot of fun to hear what you all remember :)

I remember you and Rachel and Leslie practicing for hours to put on shows in my living room. Big hair and wild outfits.
I also remember when you were under a year and I came to see you guys. You had on a little red dress and your hair was poking up all over with static electricity. Very sweet and I have never forgotten how you looked that day.

Ok, I'm a little late on this, but I'm playing catch up. This isn't anything momentous, but among the many Brighton memories, I remember us tanning on the roof of the duplex we were living in that winter, I think it was '95, having a great time just chilling and enjoying the warm spring day. I think Casey was with us, too. I also have some great memories of her & Chris, they were both such warm & happy people, always smiling. I'm glad to see Casey is now a happy mom, too. :-)
