This kid can sleep anywhere. For the first time, he finally gave in and fell asleep while riding in the kayak. Amazing that we could beach it, drag it up into the shade, and rearrange the seats and life jackets underneath him while he slept through everything. (Thanks to the book "Babywise" or should I say thanks Leslie for turning me onto Babywise when Cam was 3 weeks old)... In the meantime, while Cam snoozed, Greg taught Zach and I how to make "Mud Moccasins" You sink your feet into thick mud, then walk through the sand to make a layer of sand stick to the bottom of your feet. Then you can walk on anything and it doesn't hurt. It actually feels really good! My feet ("gnar dogs" as Greg refers to them) are softer than they've been in a long time!
BUBBLES!!! Have become my new best friend. They are a necessity on my shopping list, right up there with milk. We take them everywhere... on the kayaks, to Lagoon, to the swimming pool, work, anywhere! If all else fails, bust out the bubbles!
We are back at the pool for another round of swimming lessons. This time Cam is taking lessons too. I just have to laugh. It is sort of hard to tell who is in charge, Cam or his instructor. I was curious if it would be any different with someone other than myself, but it's not. Other than I'm not the one chasing him around the pool this time. He is totally playing his game with her. I can see that little smirk as he is making her try to figure out how to get him to smile.
We are looking forward to a camping trip in Sun Valley this weekend! I hope it goes better than our attempt to camp last year! I can't help to try and milk every little second of the summer. I feel like it will all be over with before we know it and we will be back to building fires and plowing the driveway. We woke up this morning and had to close the windows and put on sweatshirts for the first time in quite a while. It's pretty chilly. Scares me a bit!

loved this post. great catch up on the haps. bubbles? funny, i usually avoid bubbles at all cost. i don't know why, but i can't stand them. i guess i should throw them in for this weekend too...and that little cam is such a little stinker. he cracks me up with his little attitude. and once again, your backyard photos are UNREAL. i almost get the chills everytime i see them. love you!
There's nothing cuter than a kid in undies, blowing bubbles. It was so much fun watching the boys at swim lessons. Cam's teacher will likely not agree to take a 2 year old in the near future. The experience will be great for him though cuz he's such a fish. Zach just the loves the social scene of any kind. I saw him go to a girl in his class who was scared and crying and try to console her. He said " are you OK. It will be Ok it's just water, don't be scared," He was so cute and compassionate with her. That is one of Zach's most endearing qualities. Hugs & KIsses
Where to start, you're kids are cute and funny! I too love Bubbles as they are brought out daily. I also used Babywise with McKenna- Love that and the Baby Whisperer. You've got such great pictures and stories, I'll definitely have to try the mud mocasins! So what do you think about Breaking Dawn?
