The sod project is complete! Greg is THE MAN. He laid all of that sod all by himself. Now if we can just keep it alive. Lots of water right? So today Zach and Cam got to run through the sprinklers. Actually, I held the hose where the grass needed watering and Zach ran through it. Cam was much more interested in squirting the dogs with the mega soaker water gun and making mud soup!
As soon as we turned off the water the boys just had to go find their "dinosaur galoshes" to tromp through the tiny little puddle that was left over. I dare you to try and tell Cam that his are actually alligators... It never goes over well!! I can't resist to take a million pictures every time they wear those boots. They are too cute!
I am so excited to have the beginning of what can be considered a yard and garden. I just love gardening and so does Greg. That has been the one thing we have seriously missed about our home in Sugarhouse. We had put a whole lot of work into our yard there and then left it for dead... so sad, but now we have a new start here and many projects for the future... one step at a time. We have 1.11 acres here to work with. While we plan to keep it as natural as possible, we still can't resist our desire to make it our own.

Suz, that looks so wonderful! Seriously, it's amazing what a patch of grass will do to really frame in a lot. I am sure it will become a sought after place to hang out in the summertime, after the AMAZING deck, of course! :)
And you're right, those little rain boots are toooo cute! It will be fun to look back at those photos when those boys are all grown up! (I love the one where Cam has his hands in his pants!)
Wow Zach, that is a huge leap in the 1st picture. You can really jump high! And it looks like Cam doesn't really spend much time on the grass. He is a dirt devil through and through. Love you guys! Hugs & Kisses
Greg is the MAN! It is difficult to lay sod..let alone do it by yourself. Way to go Greg. You are a chip off your "old" dad. The boots are priceless! They have held up for many years. Well worth the price! Cam is probably about ready for a new pair, let me know what size. The boys just swam, then had their baths and now are rasseling like wild dinosaurs in the house! They said to say good night and that they don't want to go to bed!
