Once again I am going through my Moms computer finding all kinds of great pictures. There were so many good ones from our trip to Valley Springs so I decided to post a bunch of them instead of trying to just pick a few. Two of my all time favorite pictures are the one with Grandpa Chuck and Zach having a grumpy face contest (which I think Grandpa won) and the one of Barb and Zach in front of the bridge, they both have such big, bright smiles!
This was from a trip my Mom, Zach and I took to see Chuck and Barb in 2005. Zach was almost 2 and I was 7 months pregnant with Cam. This is the only time I have been to their house. We spent a lot of time just hanging around on their beautiful deck, and walking around in their lovely gardens. I was way too pregnant to hike all the way down to the river and I was sad to miss out on that. I really wanted to see San Francisco so we spent a day there too. It was great, we saw a lot of the city in a short amount of time. Chuck and Barb are such wonderful hosts. We tried to go to the Aquarium, but unfortunately they were closed for construction, however we did make it to The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and The Ghiradeli Chocolate Factory... Mmmmmm!!!
I can't wait to make it back to Valley Springs. Chuck and Barb live in such a beautiful corner of the world. It's a very peaceful and relaxing place. It sounds especially wonderful right now while we are battling these harsh winter storms. Maybe that was the inspiration for this post, I am dreaming of warmer weather...

The picture of Grandpa and Zach is one of my all time favorites. That was a great trip. Seems everyone is posting nostalgic pics these days. Guess I need to get with the program. It's fun having you and the boys staying with me for a few days. See you soon
This may sound crazy but there is the big picture in the middle that has all of you at the dinner table. I think it looks like me sitting by you. Funny huh?!?!?

yes, hot mama indeed. great pics. i, too, had the most spectacular stay at grandpa's house in valley springs a few years back. wow, we had a good time. mitch and i have been dying to go back. chuck and barb are so much fun to spend time with, whether you're just chillin on one of the decks over looking the river, or out on some adventure, they are good times indeed.
and you're right, that sunny place sounds DELICIOUS right now!
Susan, thanks so much for posting these pictures. They bring back such warm, wonderful memories! Imagine! Cam wasn't even born yet and Zach looks so young! Leslie, we, too, loved it when you and Mitch came. We are so lucky to have such fun kids and grandkids (and great-grandkids!)
