It's almost swimsuit season again!!!

ughhh....  the thought makes me cringe.
Two years ago I was working hard to get myself into what would be the best shape of my life.  I was lucky to have a supportive husband who encouraged me to hire a personal trainer and go for it.  I did, and I never felt better!   I think as a parent, it's hard not to put our own lives on the back burner without even realizing that we have.  Hiring a trainer and learning how to live healthy was the best thing I ever did for me.  I felt positive, I had endless energy, my house was cleaner, my family ate better, I was more active with my kids, I felt like I was in total control.  My mind and body were in sync and it was as if nothing could get me down.  Good health is a very powerful force.  I have been slipping a bit this past year.  I have let my excuses change my good habits for the worse. It's time to get back to it. I know I can get back in shape, I've done it before, this time I can't afford to have a trainer critique everything that goes into my mouth and to push me till I almost puke at the gym, but what I do have is the knowledge to do it myself.  It's all on me.  I want to do it and I know I can do it!

One of the things I know I need to do is to track my food.  If you force yourself to really look at what you are eating you soon realize what changes need to be made.  I track everything on CalorieCount.About.com

The other thing I know I need is support.  I guess that's where I'm going with this whole post.  If anyone wants to do this with me we can support each other.  This website is full of great ways to get support from your friends and other people who are in your similar position. Even if you don't need to loose weight, you just want to get some new healthy recipes or learn more about nutrition.  Check it out and when you do, find me! and ask me to be your friend, my name is suzana135.

I'm starting today!

Yes, I'm still going to 24 HF. I've been trying to go at least 2-3 times a week, but I want to go 4-5. I wish I could hire Lani again! I get to see her when I'm there and catch up, but no sessions for now. I figured just putting this all out there will help motivate me. Hopefully.

I checked it out and tried to find you but couldn't figure out the friend thing. Help

I just realized they make it way hard to find friends. If you go to forums I wrote a post called "finding friends" in the new members catagory. You can go to my post, click on my name and add buddy from my profile... I swear, this is the only thing that is not easy to do on this website. I love the forums where you can ask questions and find people who are in your same position almost instantaneously!

hi suzie! love the motivation here...i, too, am trying to crack down on my not-so-perfect habits! i am doing a relay in june in the sawtooth's (stanley to sun valley) with a group of girls, so i HAVE to start running. it will be 10 miles on my part. :/ this is good motivation for me to get out the door, though. thanks for posting about this. i have used their calorie counter in the past and should get to using it again. if i do, i will be your buddy!

p.s. i miss you. bad.

You know I'm in, girl! I feel better already just knowing I've made a commitment, but I've got a long road ahead of me. I'm so glad to have support AND inspiration. Thanks, Suzan!
