Our long awaited trip to Lake Powell is finally here! It's a bitter sweet departure for us every time we go. SWEET because, well obvious, we are headed to Lake Powell for a week of lying around on the house boat, reading, wake boarding, swimming, cooking, and kayaking. And we will be doing all of this with NO KIDS to worry about, or feed, or change, or put in time out, or.... snuggle with :( That is where the "bitter" part comes in... I am missing my boys already and we haven't even left yet. I already can't wait to see them when we get back!
Mom, Chris... Thank you so much for making it possible for us to go on this kind of a trip and to know that our kids are in perfectly good hands... we are SO lucky and we would never take it for granted. I don't know what we would do with out you guys!!! Thanks again and again!
Kristin, Jake... Thanks so much for taking care of things around the house. Leo and Mr Bean will surely appreciate the food and all of our newly planted flowers and trees will be in desperate need of your daily waterings! Make sure to take time to relax on the deck and enjoy the peace and quite while you are here! Thank you, Thank you!!!

Lake Powell or Bust! we used to go almost every year. every year i was sure Chris would never make it back. You can imagine. sounds like you deserve a break. i'm behind on keeping up, too, but i'll be filling everyone in on my life soon! have fun! catch a giant green squirrel and let it loose on the houseboat, compliments of Chris! :)
WOW! Have a blast, I think it is going to be very hot this week down there. It has been years since we have been there.
