Out of the Den

I feel like a grumpy old grizzly bear who just came out of hibernation and has been rejuvenated by the smell of fresh air and new life.
Spring is finally here.

The lake is blue once again.  Most of the ice has melted off except for just a few big chunks that are still drifting around.  It feels so refreshing to see the lake as a deep blue body of water again, instead of a giant sheet of ice, grey and cold.  Last night we could see the reflection from the lights across the lake shimmering on the waters surface again.  It made me smile :)

The sun was out today, it wasn't snowing, and the wind finally stopped blowing.  So the boys and I took a walk around our property.  It was my first time getting out and seeing how everything has managed over the long, brutal winter.  I was pleasantly surprised!  My lily's are breaking the surface, there are tiny little buds on a tree we planted last fall that we had pretty much written off and assumed the worst.  There is basically nothing left of our snow banks.  We can now drive in and out both ends of our driveway.  Two months ago one end of our driveway was lost under a 10 foot deep snowbank.  Today, that snowbank is only a small pile of slush.   It's crazy how fast things can change.

Summertime good vibes are drifting in the Rockapulco air, you can totally feel it...
Soon enough we will be playing and swimming down at the beach...
chillin' on the deck late into the warm summer night hours...
and riding around on the 4 wheelers leaving a trail of dust behind us instead of a rooster tail of mud.

Bring it on!

nicely said. I love the 2 pictures showing the same spot today that was a huge snowbank not so long ago. I think blogging is making me see things much differently when I can read everyone's point of view on stuff. I LOVE IT!

It is amazing how fast things change. I'm actually seeing green here, too, when two weeks ago it was still under a foot of snow. So..spring does actually come. It's wonderful! I love your views by the way! If I could pick anywhere to live it would be on a lake with mountains.

You're too cute Suz! I cannot believe the photos from your place. Are you immune to the view yet? Such a slice of heaven up there. And I want to be in on those hot beach days, warm summer deck nights and dirty four wheelers runs. Call me. Bring it on.

You all know you are always welcome and we would look forward to any one coming to visit. Please do!!!

Jelina, It's true, the views are pretty spectacular. When Greg and I came to look at the house for the first time. We walked out on the deck before going inside and at that point, it didn't even matter what the inside looked like, we were SOLD!

I'll see you all soon then???

If anyone deserves this great weather, it is you guys! I am glad your snow piles are melting and the boys can go out more. That is all they want to do here is play outside. Now if it just will warm in Park City this weekend while we are there!
