Yep, I think we would have been if it wasn't for Jake. Greg has been traveling a lot for work so I have been getting a taste of what it's like to be a single mother. It is certainly not easy and Rockport is definitely not the best place for it! This monster snow storm just added a very large load to the very full plate that being a mom already is. Plus, not having Greg around adds yet another enormous load to that plate. But I am toughing it out up here in the hills. I've been having fun shoveling the deck and keeping the fire burning. I was actually okay with the thought of being snowed in, but Jake came up and saved the day anyways. What a guy!!! I am just thrilled with any time I get to spend with Jake. It's not often enough any more.
The Driveway

Looks inviting, doesn't it?

Looking out what I call "The Snow Window"

I have been making sure the birdie's are well fed.
I wouldn't want them to find a new home for the winter.

So, it sounds like the snow is not done yet. They are calling for another foot or more in the mountains tonight. I will be cuddled up by the fire with a couple of snuggle buggs and we will be watching the snow swirl outside the windows. That is a recipe for a wonderful night...
The only thing missing is Daddy.

WOW! That is amazing and beautiful! We are soooo absent of snow in Boise, it is crazy to see what is happening there. Mitch is absolutely drooling over your pictures. He couldn't be more jealous. Sad to hear that you are there alone without Gregory. But so happy to see that Jake came through for you! What a guy, indeed.
I have to say: I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of the bird. It is beautiful!
wow. that was beautiful in every way. the pictures. the fact that you love the snow so much. the birdie. the image of you and your snuggle buddies. and jake's big heart. i love it!
It really is beautiful and you know me, I'm loving it! The only thing about all this snow that totally sucks is I don't see any days that I can go snowboarding in my foreseeable future.
Les- tell Mitch to check the snow totals for the resorts (if he hasn't already) I have a link on the right. It's crazy!
Ray- You need to bring up your board and we can get some groomer runs down the road. The kids can sled and we can snowboard.
:)
do you get passes to the canyons still? i have 2 passes i got at the warren miller movie. i think they expire friday. not sure if i am going to be able to pull it off or not. sounds fun to sled/board. but hiking...i'm pretty wussy!
Who said anything about hiking? We have a 4 wheeler!
We haven't gotten our Canyons Passes yet. But once we get them I can probably get us both a pass so we need to plan a day and go. I can't wait!!!
ahhhh...4 wheeler!!! i like it!
yes, let's go for sure (either on the hill by your house or the resort). what were the restrictions on the passes? weekdays? i can't remember.
Ray- They are blocked on Saturdays and on most holidays and the days surrounding holidays.
You should try and get up there this week! I wish I could work out a way to go with you :(
If something changes I will for sure let you know.
Dude, you two can't be planning such fun without me.
what is the problem? babysitter??
That and we are opening another store in Park City this week.
oh...cool. i guess...
:(
As we sit here in sunshine with our hibiscus blooming on the deck, it is difficult to believe that you have so much snow. It is beautiful. How very thoughtful of Jake to help you plow it!
