Today is a very sad and somber day around our house. Our Parrot Baboo passed away by accident. We are really going to miss him. He was a constant source for entertainment.
Baboo thought he was just one of the dogs. Every day when it was time to feed the dogs, Baboo liked to be right in the middle of it. When the dogs would restle, Baboo just had to get envolved. He especially loved to harrass Roscoe. Roscoe only has stubs for whiskers now because Baboo has plucked them all out. I wont be able to look at Roscoe now without thinking of Baboo, at least until his whiskers grow back.

There will never be a replacement for Baboo. He was one of a kind and I just really wish I would have taken more videos of all of the funny things he did and said. I think Baboo really loved living with us and will miss us too. He was very loyal and affectionate for a bird. He would fly out on to the deck just to hang out with us, then follow us when we went back inside. We thought that was pretty neat. He loved to give kisses and he was a real charmer too. Often, as I would walk by his cage he'd give me a whooo whooo whistle. Even though he had no idea what he meant it was still nice to hear it. I made sure to thank him every time he sent a compliment my way. It's going to feel very quiet around here for a while without a little chirp chirp ambiance in the background.
Goodbye Pretty Bird... We will miss you!!!

I'm sorry to hear about Baboo. I know how much a part of your family he was. Bye Bye Baboo, Love Grandma Beth
I am so sad even though I did not know your bird. Maybe he is hanging with Grandma Jane. Sorry.
WHAT HAPPENED? Tears will be shed at my house too.
:(
Hey Suz,
I am back online now and am so sorry to hear about your bird. What happened? I am sorry, I know how you love the things that you love. (Remember I told you that you are a "good lover"?-People, don't get any strange ideas...I just mean that the things that she loves, she REALLY loves deeply. It's a beautiful thing. Glad I am on the list!)
I will call you soon. I am now officially transplanted and still alive. Phew. Love You!
It's really sad how he died. He loves to follow Roscoe everywhere he goes. He was sittling next to Roscoe and Roscoe layed down right on top of him... broke his neck. Super sad huh! Even Roscoe has been maoping around the house ever since. He misses his little buddy...
