ECHO

I hardly ever click on my blog these days, let alone anyone elses. I feel guilty if I blog too much and I feel guilty if I don't. It's so annoying, what is my problem? Today I have been sitting here all morning paying bills and catching up on facebook and emails (I say morning then I realize it's 2PM already) it gives me anxiety like I've never had before!! I guess I just feel like summer went by too fast, I'm afraid if I sit down to document it will pass me by. The kids start school next week so we are trying to cram in as much fun as possible!

It's been a strange summer for Utah, as far as the weather goes. It rained all June, July was nice, not too hot, then August was much colder than usual. I feel like we sort of got jipped this year! So when it hit 101 degrees on Saturday we decided to pack up and head to the lake. We went to Echo Reservoir to camp on the beach. Echo can only be described in two words.
Ghetto Fabulous! Perfect. We fit right in!
You gotta love that place. There is no better people watching anywhere in Utah... Wait a minute, I better take that back, it comes in second to Lagoon, and The Gateway is a close third... anyhow, really makes you wonder where these people come from. For reals! Me and my pack of wild boys and big black "wolves" were the cleanest, quietest, mellowest bunch on the beach. If you know us then you know that's saying a lot! I guess I was just sort of in awe of the place. It's been a while since I've spent the night there. Too long.

So anyways, as always we had a blast. A few good friends came up for a while in the evening to hang out. Then it was just us Mooneys for the night. Our boys have become such good little campers, they just love it. As long as there is dirt and water to make mud, they're all good! I'm glad we took the time for a quick, cheap trip. It was well worth it!

Nice little trip for you guys. The boys are good little campers even in my backyard. I'll have to post some pics. The kayaking pictures are beautiful with the sun shimmering on the lake.
