Ok, I just looked over my archive and I realized I only posted once in July. I guess it's fair to say I'm a slacker! But honestly, we've been enjoying this summer to the fullest and I just haven't felt like taking the time to sit down and type it up.
I guess I owe you an update on our landscaping project since the last post I wrote about it titled "I'm frustrated" when we had to tear out our freshly planted flower bed to replace the main water line to our home. Oh man, that really sucked, glad I can look back on it and laugh now! We did get the water line back in, and our little old house has never had this kind of water pressure! My dishwasher even works again because of it, we can take a shower while the sprinklers are on. If you turn on the hose, the kitchen sink still works at the same time. It's glooooorious! Here's some pics of the front yard stamped "FINISHED" We planted at least two hundred perennials throughout our yard. I can't wait for them to all fill in and bloom, next year it will be gorgeous!

Our yard has turned out wonderful so far. There is still some finishing touches left to do, but once again, Greg's vision is becoming my reality. I talked before about how I just wish I could "be a normal person who sits on the deck in the morning with my coffee and watches the kids play in the grass while I go and pull a few weeds from my flower beds." well, I have arrived... and am taking full advantage every morning!
Greg and I love to have our friends and family over, especially in the Summertime. So we have been entertaining and celebrating often. Even when we don't have anyone over, we make sure to take the time to enjoy life as it comes at us.
I have to steal my friend Dove's quote here, because it's kind of my life motto these days.
"The grass is always greener where you water it"
Makes sense, right? A lot more sense than "on the other side"

Your new landscaping is beautiful and will be even more lush as everything matures. Please keep the pictures coming. I love, love, love your amazing hanging basket. I couldn't live without flowers. They bring me so much joy. I'm so glad to see that you, too, have a heart for flowers.
