A picture says a thousand words...

I guess it's a good thing I've been taking lots of pictures because I seem to be coming up short in the words department. Sorry, I've been a little MIA around here.
I've said it before and I am going to say it again, I am so in love with my little old house! I love to wake up in the morning to a bedroom that was built from scratch by Greg and his Dad. Someday I will get around to posting the before and afters, it is pretty amazing the way they transformed this old house. The before pictures are completely unrecognizable. It's hard for me to even take my mind back there.

I feel refreshed and my cluttered mind feels all cleared out. Rockport started to wear on us pretty hard over the last 6 months we were there. Since the move, I can't shake this feeling like I have forgotten something really huge that is going on in my life. So I go back over my list, and my calendar and I feel a huge wave of relief as I realize again, I haven't forgotten anything. All of the things I have going on in my life are the same, they just weigh a whole lot less on my shoulders now.

The photo ops seem a lot less frequent since we've been back, but that's okay, I'm game for a challenge. It gives me a reason to get a little bit more creative. Here are a few from the days of our life since we've been back.

Roscoe and Nikita all snuggled up. My puppies are so pretty.

Cam and Hong Kong Fooey are never too far apart.

Roscoe went and got himself sprayed by a skunk the day before we moved. He has since had a series of tomato juice baths. We are pretty sure he got a direct hit to the face because his nose still smells like skunk!

Yesterday the four of us packed up a little lunch and headed to Liberty Park for the afternoon. I doubt most of you would disagree that this is the ugliest time of year here. The trees are bare, there is no snow left on the ground, it's not super cold, but it's not quite warm yet either. Yesterday was not your ideal day for taking photos, the sun never really came out, it spent the day glowing dimly behind a light grey sky, but Liberty Park proved to be a very photogenic place despite the weather! I've never really stopped to think how old that park is and I've never stopped to look at how huge the trees are. What a beautiful and historic place. Greg and I took turns with the camera. Here are a few of our favorites...

Mom, I do remember our trips to Liberty Park as a kid. I think that has a lot to do with why I love it there so much. I was telling Greg about the cool photos you took of us there when you were in photography school. You should scan those and post them. You have some great old photos!

We love all your new pictures! I especially like the precious one of Cam sound asleep with his arm around the cat. I also love the way you share so much of yourself in your blogs. It is all we can do to get some new postings up once in awhile. Maybe I'll go back to our latest and try to say a few words. I tried to send you another comment yesterday, but it never came through. I hope this one works!
