Before and After (Broken House)

Here are the before and after photos of what used to be known as "The Broken House." We had our open house on Saturday and had a pretty good turnout. The comments from the people who have seen it have been positive and very complimentary to us. We feel confident that we may be getting some offers soon! But you never know, this is a game, and a gamble ( a well calculated gamble). So keep the good luck vibes coming our way!

A few things we did to the house:
Exterior: We painted everything that was poop brown before to a charcoal gray and light grey, we added a pergola to the front porch, added TONS of flowers, painted the garage, put in a new garage door, and power washed the brick( thanks Jake and Bryan).

In the kitchen: We tore out the wall between the kitchen and living room for added living space and cabinet space. Complelety gutted it down to the sheetrock and bare floors. We added travertine floors in a Versai pattern, new cabinets with a mocha glaze finish, slab granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, all new lighting fixtures.

Bathroom Upstairs: tore out old tile and replaced with travertine in shower and on floor. New toilet, pedestal sink and lighting.

Bedrooms Upstairs: Sanded all hardwwod floors to the bare wood and varnished with clear to see all of the natural beauty of the wood. Added ceiling fans in both bedrooms and in living room. painted everything teepee brown. It is actually a lot prettier than it looks in the pictures. I don't know why it looks so orange, but it is actually a very warm, light brown color.

Basement: The basement was complely unfinished. We added 2 more bedrooms, a large bathroom, a laundry room and a family room, plus some room for storage.

We also put in all new windows, central air, and a new furnace...

It feels so good to be done, now if we can just get it sold! We are looking forward to doing a lot more relaxing now that we are nearing the end of summer. We are excited to spend some time in our own home that has been left quite neglected the last few months.

Thanks for checking it out!
