It's that time of year already, time to winterize the home, deck, and garden. I was working in the yard the other day, and I was feeling a little gloomy that this day had already come. We were preparing for our first winter storm which was to hit the next morning. When I looked around at the big picture everything was dead, the sun wasn't shining, no flowers were blooming. But still, I decided I would grab the camera, surely there was something I could take a picture of today... What I found was a whole lot more than I expected... so many little things that were beyond beautiful that day.
I was surprised to see this Iris thinking about blooming, not sure if she's late or early, but I like it! So now it's time to say goodbye to the pretty fall foliage and hello to (hopefully) a long snowy winter... Can't wait to see it all come back, bigger and better after a long winter's nap.

What gorgeous fall photos, Susan. You could sell these and make a lot of money.
