Now here's where the fun part for me comes in~ Cam's school is a co-op school... I never really knew what that meant until I signed up for it, but what it means is that the parents get to help out in the classroom a few times a month. We will also help drive on the field trips and help out with other events the school has going on. I also signed myself up to be the class "photographer" which will be right down my alley. It seems like a really neat school, and I'm excited to be a part of it! Should be a good way to meet new people and get me out of my social shell every now and again :)
There are two things we should give our children, one is roots, the other is wings...

Cam's Big Day
We've had another important 1st day! Today Cam started Preschool. He was so stinkin' cute about it too. He absolutely could not wait. He has asked me every night at bedtime for the last week and a half if he gets to go to school in the morning. We've been counting down the days, then finally, last night as I tucked him in, I was able to answer "yes" to this much anticipated question. I'm sure it was a long restless night for him, you know how hard it is to sleep when you have a big day ahead. This morning, as we pulled into the parking lot at school, I started hearing these little squeals coming from the back seat. I looked in the rearview mirror to see Cam grinning from ear to ear and he said "I'm just so excited." He ran into class, sat down at circle, and never even looked back at me. He's so ready for this new adventure! I am so excited as well. It's going to be a lot of fun for me watching him learn and grow and explore the world around him.

Sounds like a great new beginning for the both of you! How fun!
How fun! I love co-op, when I have the time but this will be so wonderful for you!
He is so dang cute I cannot believe it.
Sandbox and tractors at preschool. It just doesn't get any better than that. He looks so grown up with his backpack on. Where have the years gone? Enjoy!
Susan, you have such a talent for sharing your feelings as you go through these important times with your boys. I felt I was right there with you, sharing the moments, especially Cam's excitement about starting preschool. You and Greg have done such a good job as parents. These lucky boys have been exposed to so much, but, most important of all, raised with and surrounded by love. I hope you meet some wonderful new friends through this preschool experience.
