Progress went from really good...
to really bad in a matter of hours.
We are without water to our house...
and I have a huge gaping hole in the front yard where my freshly planted flower garden sat 2 days ago...
The 3rd picture was the main water line to our house. Obviously a few years old. Finally rusted all the way through. It's amazing that we had water flowing at all.
just had to vent.

What a mess. Life sure offers up it's challenges. Just think of the strength you and Greg are acquiring through your challenges. You will conquer this one too. Send me the boys when you need a break again. We had a fun sleep over while you worked so hard. Luv Ya!
What?! OMG, I can't believe that is your front yard! What do you do now? Is it your expense to replace the water line??? I am always in awe at the projects Greg gets himself into...Good luck girl, sorry to hear your flower garden is GONE.
Well, I am happy again today... Greg and his Dad got the new line in, the water is running, and I am getting the flower bed put back together today, and we have water pressure like I never thought possible for this old house :)
Les, to answer your question, no the city will not help with any water issues that are past the sidewalk. I don't know what we would have done if Greg and his Dad weren't so amazingly handy! Would have cost us a fortune, I'm sure!
