Casa Luna Brilla... Home of Moonshine
We made the majority of the move on Saturday. It was a looooong, haaaard process. Because we lived a mile up a steep and snowy hill we couldn't take the U haul all the way to our house. We had to park it at the bottom of the hill and take loads in the trucks from our house down to the bottom. This meant instead of just loading and unloading once, we had to load, unload~load, unload~ load, unload~ load, and finally UNLOAD... without the help of Rob and Jack, Greg and I would have never gotten it done! Those guys worked their butts off and by the end of the day they could barely walk. So if they are reading this, I just want to say once again Thank you so, so, SO much for your help!
Now that we are here it just feels so right. I love this old house! When Greg and I bought this place it looked nothing like it does now. Greg and his Dad, Jack gutted it down to the bare bones and we made it just the way we wanted it. The house we lived in at Rockport was remodeled before we moved in, so we didn't HAVE to do any work to it, but it was not "us." As much as we did love where we lived, it never felt like "home." None of our furniture or things looked right there, it just didn't flow. It would have cost us a fortune to make things there the way we wanted them. Here, it's already mostly done. So it feels really good to pull all of my things out of boxes and they look right, everything flows together again. I'm a flowy kind of girl so this has me feelin' real good~
I love that I woke up this morning to it snowing outside and I can enjoy it again! No need to stress about whether I will get stuck if I go anywhere, I know I can leave if I have to. I am also a snowy kind of girl so this has me feelin' good too~ Zach and I took some pics of us on the computer this morning and since no post is complete without a few pictures... here they are...
