Warm and Cozy

I have been such a slacker. I just don't have enough time anymore, unfortunately blogging has been put on the back burner for now. I am really hoping that Santa pulls through. Greg asked him for more hours in the day this year... just a few... wouldn't that be nice!

We have had a lot going on so I really wanted to post a quick update. There is so much I am leaving out that I hope to someday get around to.

Greg and his wonderful Dad put in a second wood burning stove in our home last week. For the first time in the 2 1/2 years we have lived here we now have heat in our basement! You have no idea how great this is... no idea!!! I have almost forgotten all about what are normal necessities in real life neighborhood homes. You guys are so spoiled ;)

I love to watch Greg and his Dad work together on their many projects and I know they both enjoy this time they spend together too. It's a good thing they like it because between Greg's Mom and I, we have enough projects to keep them busy for a very long time!

The stove is in, obviously the project is not complete, as you can see by the multi colored walls and no rock behind the stove yet. The pictures aren't so great either, but you get the idea. It's nice and cozy and I finally have a place for my Christmas Tree and Stockings. Feels good. Mama's happy!

I can't believe Christmas is only one week away. I may not get another chance to post, so I just want to say have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Nice to see you here again. Looks like the projects are moving right along. Nice tree and stockings. I need to make a run to Rockapolco and see the renovations and decorations. See you soon.
Hugs and kisses.

What an exciting day for you all! I can't imagine not having had heat in the basement for the cold, long winters you have! The guys seem to have had a clear, sunny day to put the pipe (?) on the outside of the house. Your basement looks really cozy.

I feel your pain. We have had a broken heater in our house (on the upstairs level) for two years now. I have had three different plumbers come and they promise to fix it but do not. They think a big bees nest is blocking the pipe up by the roof which means going up and cutting the pipe to get to it. We are pretty cold and the forecast is wind and subzero this week. BBRRR!
Your room does look cozy. Maybe we will be down to stay.

Wow, Sue! I am always so amazed and impressed by Greg's talents and efforts. He really gets after it! So, you ripped out the wall in the basement where your room used to be, it looks like??? Where are you sleeping now? The tree and stockings and fireplace look like they were meant to be there...looks so great! Love you and miss you, girl! :)
