First Snow '08

As the snow was falling yesterday it just felt too early this year.  I thought I would go back through last years posts and see when our first snow was in '07.  I was surprised to see that it was actually much earlier and I also realized while reading that post and all of the posts around the same time, that I am much to blame for the insane amounts of snow we ended up getting last year.  It seems I had been doing a little too much praying for snow!

This summer was not quite long enough.  This is definitely the first time in my life that I have ever felt this way... I am a winter girl!  But last year was... just plain NUTS!
Zach and Cam were super excited about the snow.  From the second Cam opened his eyes in the morning  he was drawn to the window to watch the snow fall.  Zach has been wanting the snow to return all summer long.  They could not wait to get outside and play.

I have heard that the pine trees are loaded extra full of pine cones this year, and that is a sign of another hard winter... well, ours is definitely fully loaded.  The Farmers Almanac also predicts another hard winter.  So I will enjoy these few days of snow and then I will thoroughly enjoy the "Indian Summer" that is for casted next week... you never know when mother nature will strike with a vengeance

Wow, your place goes from bright and vibrant to white and chilly in an instant! We got snow on Friday, too. I was totally trippin. Only our house looked nothing like yours! Ours didn't stick around for two minutes. I love that your boys are so into it...they'd better be, living in Utah! :)

Love You! And quit all that hideous prayin'!

Well I just posted about our winter weekend, too. Unfortunately, I'm with you on praying for snow. Last year was my first year I just loved it and now I can't get enough. Probably because we've had so many dry winters! ;)

Are we still on for next weekend?
