October Madness

It's time for me to play catch up! Once again, I have fallen so far behind!! As I was going through my pictures today I realized there are a lot that I have not posted yet which I really wanted to share, but I have to keep it simple. I haven't got a lot of time, we just got back from a wonderful family vacation so an enormous amount of laundry and hours of Autumn yard work are calling my name, making it hard to sit here for very long.

Field Trip to Silver Lake~

I was thrilled to accompany Cam's preschool class on a field trip to Silver Lake near Brighton a few weeks ago. Most of you know that I spent 7 years working at Brighton and it is a very special place to me. I was not about to miss an opportunity to spend a few hours there, and the 16 little 3 year olds made it a very fun and exciting walk through the woods. The weather was perfect and the kids loved every second of it! I was just so happy to be a part of this day with Cameron and his buddies!

And a field trip to Wheeler Farm~

When Zach's Kindergarten teacher asked for volunteers to come along on a field trip with their class I jumped on this opportunity also. I figure I better tag along as much as I can while he is still young enough to want me there. How sad will it be the day he asks me NOT to come along. I'll just take it while I can get it! We saw lots of cool things, it is a very pretty place. I just wish I would have taken more pictures. I hadn't been there since I was in Elementary School myself.

Zach turned 6~

We always kick off October with Zach's birthday on the 1st. This year we had a party with his friends at Liberty Park. Every year since he turned 2 he has chosen a Dinosaur theme party, but this year he just couldn't decide if he would rather have a super hero party. I told him, why don't we do both, so they made super hero masks and hit a Dinosaur pinata. Then they ate Dinosaur cupcakes on super hero napkins. It was also another gorgeous day. We all had a blast!

And Greg turned 31~

Unfortunately, I have no cool pictures from his Birthday because we didn't really do much this year. Greg has been working a lot of long hours at a new job that he is really enjoying! He is managing a new restaurant that opened up just a few blocks from our house. It is a WONDERFUL place to eat. The patio is beautiful! The food is to die for! You must check it out if you are in Salt Lake. It's called Yellowfinn, right next to Old Navy in Sugarhouse ( I'm sure all of you Moms know right where that is ;) you can preview the menu HERE I'll post more on Yellowfinn down the road!

Coming soon... our recent vacation to California, where we visited Sea World, Disneyland, and a quick (but much needed) trip to the beach... check back!
